6-9

Children at Lincolnshire Montessori learn key life skills: independence, accomplishment, a sense of challenge and achievement, and the importance of teamwork. Building on the Montessori early years curriculum, the lower primary provides a curriculum which fully meets the requirements of the National Curriculum and which goes well beyond this in many subjects.

Lincolnshire Montessori has small class sizes, high teacher to pupil ratio and our experiential learning is highly personalised. Our class teachers are Montessori Early Childhood and Primary trained.

Each element of Primary work lays the foundation for the next and consolidates previous learning. As a result, children will benefit most from exposure to the entire cycle.

The morning 3 hour work cycle covers Literacy, Numeracy and Cultural subjects:

Other subjects covered in the Montessori Primary Classes are History, Geography, the Sciences, Art, Cooking, Computer Skills, Design and Technology, religions and festivals around the world. Topics also play an important part of the curriculum at the Primary level. Each class has at least two computers and is connected to the Internet. Our library, art room and school hall provide the space and resources to enhance the curriculum.

In addition, children have weekly athletics and swimming lessons off site.
